Pr. George J. Mathews, Jr.<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Pastor George J. Mathews, Jr. came to Trinity in August of 1979 and served the congregation until his retirement in October of 2016.\u00a0 He returned to Trinity as the Designated Pastor on March 31, 2019.\u00a0 On September 22, 2019, when the congregation dissociated itself from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and took action to affiliate with the North American Lutheran Church, Pastor Mathews became the Interim Pastor of Trinity.\u00a0 Shortly thereafter, Pastor Mathews became a pastor of the North American Lutheran Church.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pastor and Kathy continue to reside in South Abington Township.<\/span><\/p>\n

Heather has served as the Director of Youth Ministries and in June of 2019 assumed the position of Church Office Manager. \u00a0She is the glue that holds together all of the committees, activities, and events at the church. \u00a0She handles the calendar, handles the work traditionally performed by a financial secretary, attends many of the committee meetings as an active member, and ensures that all of the logistics around worship services and church events are being handled. \u00a0On top of all of this she also is serving as the Registrar for Trinity Lutheran Early Education Program.<\/span><\/p>\n

A native of upstate NY, Jeremy is a graduate of Cornell University, moving to the Scranton area in 2003. \u00a0Classically trained and well seasoned, he has been an active church musician for many years and is also involved with the local music scene, performing and teaching piano.<\/span><\/p>\n

Terry has\u00a0been a member of Trinity since 1970 and has worked with the\u00a0Sunday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0School and Vacation Bible School for many years. \u00a0Terry became the Church Librarian in 1978. \u00a0Since 1999 she has been a\u00a0Teacher’s Assistant with Trinity Lutheran Church Preschool. \u00a0Terry also enjoys serving on the Education and Preschool Committees.<\/span><\/p>\n
