Luncheon \/ Bible Study<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Our regular meeting day is monthly, usually on the third Thursday of each month. We come with our own light lunch and gather at 12:00 Noon and enjoy a period of informal fellowship.\u00a0 This is followed by a Bible study lesson based upon a particular Biblical text or portion of the Bible.\u00a0 Currently we are studying the general theme of the “Women of the Bible.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Quilting Ministries<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Women of Trinity <\/span>quilting group meets weekly on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 in the parish hall. They participate in two unique quilting ministries. <\/span><\/p>\n

Lutheran World Relief:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Quilts are hand made and shared through the Lutheran World Relief Mission Quilt Project as well as with local organizations that present a need. The group cuts squares, sews them in place and then knots them. <\/span><\/p>\n

Prayers and Squares:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>The Women of Trinity in September of 2015 became an official \"\"chapter in a unique ministry called “Prayers and Squares.”\u00a0<\/em> This ministry has more local focus as the Women of Trinity present quilts to individuals who have a special need or challenge in their lives. \u00a0<\/span>Before a quilt is presented to recipient, the following blessing is said over the quilt which describes the essence of this ministry:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Loving God, we thank you for the gifts you have given to our Prayers and Squares Ministry: the talent, the gifts of fabric, the time, the gifts we use to create these quilts that are given with love and prayer to those who are struggling. We ask that you continue to help those involved in this ministry to use these gifts to honor you. \u00a0We ask your blessing upon the recipient of this q<\/span>uilt, (na<\/em><\/span>me of recipient)<\/span><\/span><\/em>.<\/em> May this quilt wrap (name of recipient)<\/em> wit<\/span>h comfort and love. This we pray in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
