WORSHIP

Sharing and hearing God’s message is what our worship is all about. We’re not fussy. There is no dress code at Trinity, so feel free to be casual. Sunday worship services start at 10:00 AM and last about an hour but you’re likely to find people arriving early to talk and prepare for the service. Parking is available in the church lot and the bank parking lot across the street. Pick up a copy of the announcements bulletin as you enter the church to read what’s going on.

Each week, we present the liturgy text and gospel message on this page for those who are not able to attend in person.

SERVICES ARE EASY TO FOLLOW

Everything is displayed on the screen at the front of the church – and consist of praying, singing, and hearing the Gospel and God’s message. Holy Communion is distributed at each service. Don’t be shy. Sing and pray along with us.

During cold and flu season, hand sanitizer is available in the pews. Rest rooms are located in the Parish Center on the main floor and on the ground floor off the dining area. An elevator is available to transport you if needed.

After most services, the airy Gathering Space next to the church is the place to sip some coffee (decaf, of course!) or juice, share a quick snack, and chat with fellow worshipers.

We invite you to visit us and talk with our members about joining our church. We’d love to have you.

Special Services

Through the year, we observe church occasions such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, and Good Friday with special services. Check back here or on the church calendar for dates and times.

Joining Trinity

Now that you’ve gotten to know us through our website, we hope you’ll join us for worship here in Clarks Summit. If you’ve visited Trinity a few times and feel ready to connect more deeply with other Christians and continue growing in your faith, we invite you to become part of our congregation.

Membership at Trinity Lutheran Church is open to all who share our confession of faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. When you’re ready to join, simply email the church office (office@trinityluthcs.com) or use the Contact Us form on our website to request a membership registration form. After you return the form, a member of the congregation will contact you to confirm your desire to join. Your membership becomes official once the Church Council approves it and records it in the church’s membership records.

Members must have received the Sacrament of Holy Baptism—either here at Trinity or previously in the name of the Triune God. Members must also be confirmed, whether through Confirmation at Trinity, adult baptism, transfer from another Lutheran congregation, or affirmation of faith. Only confirmed members may vote at congregational meetings.
