Taskforce on New Ministries
Taskforce on New Ministries:
The Taskforce on New Ministries was initially known as the Taskforce on Aging. The taskforce held its initial meeting on May 22, 2024, after a series of workshop meetings which were conducted by Pastor Brad Hales. The workshops were attended by several members of Trinity on April 19-21, 2024. Many of the persons in attendance eventually have come together to form the Taskforce on New Ministries.
Pastor Hales currently serves Reformation Lutheran Church in Culpeper, Virginia. For several years Pastor Hales has focused his ministry on the aging population both within congregations of the North American Lutheran Church as well as the dramatically aging population within our nation. He has conducted workshops nation-wide, both with individual congregations as well as with clusters of congregational within a broader region.
Pastor Hales visited Trinity on behalf of the North American Lutheran Church with the agenda of exploring new avenues of ministry that would especially focus on the aging population within our congregation and community. At its second meeting the taskforce saw the need to expand its scope of ministry planning and accordingly renamed itself the Taskforce on New Ministries.
The Taskforce on New Ministries has already begun to aggressively explore new possibilities to serve our congregation and community.
